How to Install ClickSambo on a Squarespace Website

Install both ClickSambo tracking codes with Squarespace's built-in Code Injection feature.

HEAD code: the main tracking script.

BODY code (NoScript): a fallback for visitors with JavaScript disabled.

Requirement: According to Squarespace, Code Injection is available on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and some legacy plans. It is not available on every plan.

Step 1: Get Your Tracking Codes

First, copy your code snippets from the ClickSambo dashboard.

1. Log in to your ClickSambo account.

2. Go to Account Settings > Domain Tracking Setup.

3. Select your domain and copy the HEAD and BODY codes.

Step 2: Add Both Codes with Code Injection

You will use two fields in the Code Injection panel to install the codes on every page.

1. Log in to Squarespace and open your site.

2. Open Pages > Website Tools > Code Injection (the location may differ slightly depending on your Squarespace version).

3. Paste the HEAD code into the Header field.

4. Paste the BODY code into the Footer field.

5. Click Save.

Why the Footer? Squarespace places the Footer code just before the closing </body> tag on every page, which works well for this fallback code.

Step 3: Verify the Installation

After saving, check that both codes load on your live site.

1. Open any page of your live site in an incognito/private window.

2. Right-click the page and select View Page Source.

3. Press Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on Mac) and search for cdn.clicksambo.com. It should appear inside the <head> section.

4. Search for ping.clicksambo.com. It should appear near the end of the page, before the closing </body> tag.
