⚠️ Important Prerequisite Code Injection is a Premium Feature. To use this feature, your Squarespace site must be on a Business, Commerce, Professional, or Premium plan. This option is not available on the Personal plan.
Log in to your ClickSambo account.
Navigate to Account > Account Settings > Domain Tracking Setup.
Select your domain and copy both the Tracking Code (HEAD Section) and the NoScript Tracking Code (BODY Section).
Log in to your Squarespace account.
From the Home Menu, navigate to Settings > Website > Code Injection.
Note: Depending on your Squarespace version, this may be located under Website Tools > Code Injection.
You will see several text boxes. You need to use the Header and Footer boxes.
Install the HEAD Code:
Locate the box labeled HEADER.
Paste your Tracking Code (HEAD Section) into this box.
Install the BODY Code:
Locate the box labeled FOOTER.
Paste your NoScript Tracking Code (BODY Section) into this box.
Why here? Squarespace injects code in the "Footer" field immediately before the closing </body> tag, which is the correct technical placement for this specific script.
Click Save at the top of the page.
Open any page of your live website in a new Incognito/Private browser window.
Right-click anywhere on the page and select View Page Source.
Confirm the HEAD code:
Press Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac) and search for: cdn.clicksambo.com
You should find this script inside the <head> section.
Confirm the BODY code:
Search for: ping.clicksambo.com
You should find this <noscript> snippet near the very bottom of the code, just before the closing </body> tag.
Once you have confirmed both codes are present in the correct locations, your Squarespace site is fully protected by ClickSambo.
