Does ClickSambo Support Call-Only Ads and Call Extensions?

Currently, ClickSambo does not support Call-Only Ads or call extensions that initiate a phone call directly from the ad itself.

The Technical Reason

ClickSambo's powerful fraud detection relies on our JavaScript tracking code, which executes when a user lands on your website. This script allows us to perform the deep behavioral analysis necessary to identify fraudulent activity.

Call-Only Ads are designed to bypass your website entirely and start a phone call directly from the Google search results page. Because there is no website visit, our tracking code cannot run, and we are unable to analyze the click for fraud.

Future Support Is Planned

We understand how important call-based campaigns are for many businesses. Full support and protection for call-only ad formats is a high-priority feature that is on our development roadmap.

What IS Fully Protected Today?

ClickSambo provides our full, robust protection for any ad or ad extension that directs users to a landing page on your website where our tracking code is installed. This includes:

  • Standard Search & Display Ads
  • Sitelink Extensions
  • Image Extensions
  • Promotion Extensions
  • Any other ad format that leads to a website visit.

For the most effective protection with our current system, we recommend prioritizing ad campaigns that drive traffic to your tracked landing pages.
