Using ClickSambo with Qooqie

Yes, you can effectively use ClickSambo's click fraud prevention alongside Qooqie for call tracking and attribution.

The two systems work together to ensure you're only paying for high-quality clicks that lead to real customer calls.

This guide provides the safest and most reliable method for setting up both platforms in Google Ads to prevent tracking conflicts.

The Golden Rule: Separate Fields for Separate Jobs

The key to a successful integration is to use Google Ads' two different URL parameter fields for their intended purposes:

  1. Tracking Template: This field is for redirect-based trackers like ClickSambo that must analyze a click before the user reaches your site.
  2. Final URL Suffix: This field is for parameters that need to be attached directly to your final landing page URL. This is what Qooqie's website script uses to attribute the visit and display the correct tracking phone number.

Keeping these two functions separate is the best practice for a stable and accurate setup.

Step-by-Step Integration Guide

Prerequisite: Before you begin, have your Qooqie tracking parameters ready. You can typically find these in your Qooqie dashboard or their setup documentation.

Step 1: Set Up the ClickSambo Tracking Template
First, ensure ClickSambo's tracking is correctly placed.

Automatic Setup (Recommended): Follow our standard guide to connect your Google Ads account. Our system will automatically populate the Tracking Template field for you with ClickSambo's Google Ads Tracking Template.

Manual Setup: If using the manual option, paste your full ClickSambo's Google Ads Tracking Template into the Tracking Template field in your Google Ads account settings.

Step 2: Add Qooqie's Parameters to the Final URL Suffix
In your Google Ads account, navigate to Settings > Account Settings > Tracking.

Find the Final URL Suffix field.

Paste the entire tracking parameter string provided by Qooqie into this box. This is often a set of UTM parameters or other dynamic placeholders (e.g., source=qooqie&gclid={gclid}).

Click Save.

Step 3: Install Both Website Scripts
Ensure that the JavaScript codes for both ClickSambo and Qooqie are correctly installed on your website, following each service's specific installation instructions. Qooqie's script is what dynamically swaps the phone numbers on your site based on the URL parameters from the Suffix.

Step 4: Test the Integration Thoroughly
This is the most critical step to ensure both systems are working correctly.

In Google Ads, use the "Test" button next to your Tracking Template to check for immediate errors.

Perform a live end-to-end test using Google's Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool. Click on your ad in the preview.

When you land on your site, verify the following:

The correct Qooqie tracking phone number appears on the page.

The click data appears correctly in your ClickSambo dashboard.

A test call placed to the tracking number is correctly attributed inside your Qooqie dashboard.

What NOT To Do

Do NOT attempt to combine or "daisy-chain" the ClickSambo and Qooqie tracking URLs in the same Tracking Template field unless explicitly instructed by both support teams. This is a common point of failure.

Do NOT put ClickSambo's redirect template into the Final URL Suffix.

Do NOT put Qooqie's URL parameters into the Tracking Template.

If you are unsure about any of these steps, please contact our support team for guidance.
