For ClickSambo to protect your campaigns, each click must first pass through our analysis engine before landing on your website. The Tracking Template is the official, Google-approved method that makes this possible. It essentially tells Google Ads: "Before you send this visitor to the final landing page, quickly send them to ClickSambo's checkpoint with all the important click details."
Campaign ID: Which campaign the click came from.
Ad Group ID: The specific ad group that was clicked.
Keyword: The search term that triggered the ad.
Device Type: Whether the click was from a mobile, desktop, or tablet.
Google Click ID (gclid): The unique "fingerprint" that Google assigns to that single click.
Setting up this checkpoint is essential for two main reasons:
