Google Ads - Ad Clicks
When you navigate to the Google Ads section within your ClickSambo dashboard and select the "Ad Clicks" tab, you'll find a comprehensive table presenting granular information about every click on your Google Ads that ClickSambo has processed. This detailed view is an indispensable tool for in-depth investigation into potential fraudulent activities affecting your ad spend.
The "Ad Clicks" table provides a click-by-click breakdown of traffic originating from your Google Ads campaigns. It allows you to examine individual click characteristics, identify suspicious patterns, and gain valuable insights into the quality of your ad traffic.
Key Features of the "Ad Clicks" Table
- Export Button: Allows you to download the current table data into a file (e.g., CSV) for external analysis, custom reporting, or archival purposes.
- Search Bar: A universal search bar enables you to quickly find specific entries by typing keywords or values, searching across all visible columns simultaneously.
- Column Headers: Each column header is interactive:
- Clicking a header allows you to sort the data in ascending or descending order based on that column's values.
- A small search box below each header provides granular filtering capabilities, enabling you to narrow down displayed results by specific criteria within that column.
- Pagination: Control how many entries are displayed per page (e.g., "5," "10," "All") and navigate seamlessly through multiple pages of your click data.
Data Table Columns Explained
The "Ad Clicks" table presents the following critical information for each processed click:
- Status & Device Icons: (Red/Green circles with icons next to IP)
- Visual Indicator: A prominent circle visually indicates the click's status:
- Red Icon (e.g., Robot, VPN): Signifies that the click was identified as fraudulent or highly suspicious. The specific icon often provides a hint about the detected fraud type (e.g., a robot icon for bot traffic, a shield icon for VPN usage).
- Green Icon: Indicates a clean, legitimate click.
- Contextual Icons: Alongside the status, you'll find small, informative icons:
- Country Flag: The national flag representing the geographical location of the IP address from which the click originated.
- Browser Icon: The icon of the web browser used by the visitor (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- Operating System Icon: The icon representing the operating system of the device (e.g., Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux).
- Device Icon: Indicates whether the device used was mobile (e.g., a phone icon) or desktop (e.g., a monitor icon).
- IP Address: The unique Internet Protocol address of the device that generated the click.
- ISP Company: The Internet Service Provider (ISP) or organization associated with the originating IP address (e.g., "Vodafone Turkey 3G IP Pool," "TT ADSL-TT net_dynamic").
- Click Range: The precise timestamp or a narrow time range when the click event occurred (e.g., "29.05.2025 15:38:16 - 15:38:16").
- Campaign Name: The exact name of the Google Ads campaign linked to this specific click (e.g., "Bodrum Park Resort Brand").
- Keyword / Placement: Identifies what triggered the ad click:
- "K:" (Keyword): Denotes the specific keyword that matched the user's query (e.g., "K: keyword machine").
- "P:" (Placement): Indicates the website or app placement where the ad was shown (e.g., "P: www.yahoo.com").
- Page: The full URL of the landing page where the click was directed (e.g.,
https://www.google.com/res...
). This also often includes information about the referring page. - Region: The precise geographical region associated with the click's IP address (e.g., "Turkey, İstanbul," "Turkey, Muğla," "Turkey, Ankara").
- Ad Clicks (count): The total number of clicks recorded from this specific IP address within a relevant timeframe (e.g., "1," "2").
- Fraud Type: The classification of fraud detected for this particular click, if any (e.g., "None" for clean clicks, "Over Threshold" for clicks exceeding predefined frequency limits, "VPN," "Botnet," etc.).
- Blocked: A toggle switch indicating the current blocking status of the IP address associated with this click. This reflects a system-level block by ClickSambo.
- Detail (Magnifying Glass Icon): Clicking this icon opens a pop-up window or a new view that provides an even more comprehensive breakdown and specific technical details for that individual click event, enabling deeper forensic analysis.
