The activation happens in two key stages as you complete the setup process:
When It Starts: Immediately after you have correctly installed both the HEAD
and BODY
tracking codes on your website and published the changes.
What It Does: From this moment, ClickSambo begins analyzing all visitors who arrive on your site, allowing us to understand your typical traffic patterns. You can confirm the codes are present at any time using your browser's "View Page Source" feature.
When It Starts: As soon as you successfully connect your Google Ads account via the Account Settings > Connections page.
What It Does: Once the connection is authorized, our system automatically configures your Google Ads tracking. From this point on, every click from your ad campaigns is analyzed in real-time for signs of fraud.
If you have completed the setup but don't see new visit or click data after a reasonable time, please check these common causes for delay:
Caching is the #1 Reason: Your website or server cache may not have updated yet. Please purge all caches from your website plugins (e.g., WP Rocket, LiteSpeed), your hosting provider, and any CDN service you use (like Cloudflare), then wait a few more minutes.
No New Ad Clicks: Your ClickSambo dashboard will only update after new clicks have come from your connected ad campaigns. If you have low-traffic campaigns, it may take longer for the first clicks to register. You can always perform a test click using Google Ads Ad Preview tool the to generate immediate data.
Incomplete Setup: Ensure you have completed both required steps: the website code installation AND the Google Ads account connection. Both are necessary for full protection and reporting.
