Having trouble approving an access request from an agency or a tool like ClickSambo? Don't worry, this is usually caused by a few common issues that are easy to fix. Follow these steps to get connected.
This is the most common reason for approval issues. You must be logged into the specific Google account that has administrative permissions for the target Google Ads account.
Check Your Login: If you use multiple Google accounts (e.g., a personal gmail.com
and a business yourcompany.com
account), ensure you are using the one with Admin access to Google Ads.
Tip: Try opening an incognito/private browser window and logging in with only the correct admin account to avoid any confusion.
Instead of relying on the invitation email (which can go to spam), the most reliable way to approve a request is directly within your Google Ads dashboard.
Sign in to your Google Ads account at ads.google.com.
Click the Tools and settings (wrench icon ⚙️) in the top-right corner.
Under the "Setup" column, click on Account access and security.
Navigate to the Managers tab at the top of the page.
You should see the pending invitation listed here. Click the blue Accept button to approve it.
Admin Access Required: You must have "Admin" level permissions in the Google Ads account. Users with "Standard" or "Read-only" access will not be able to see or approve manager link requests.
Action: If you don't have Admin access, you will need to ask a colleague who does to complete the approval process.
Google Ads invitations are only valid for a limited time (typically 20 days). If too much time has passed, the link will no longer work.
Action: If you suspect the invitation has expired, simply ask the sender (e.g., ClickSambo Support) to send a new one.
If you have tried all the steps above and the request still cannot be approved, it might be a rare browser glitch. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies or using a different web browser.
If the issue persists, please contact the sender and let them know you've completed these troubleshooting steps. They can resend the invitation or help diagnose the problem further.
