Page Views Tab: Analyzing Visitor Navigation

The Page Views tab provides a complete, chronological log of every page a visitor accessed on your website. This allows you to reconstruct their entire journey step-by-step.

The Page Views Tab in the Click Report Detail provides a chronological log of every page a visitor (associated with an IP) viewed on your website.

It displays:
Device ID & Connection Time: Who viewed and when.
Referring Page & Current Page: The path taken through your site.
Page Load Time: How quickly the page loaded.

This tab helps you trace the visitor's journey, assess engagement, and identify suspicious navigation patterns (like rapid page views indicative of bots).

Data Logged for Each Page View

Each entry in the timeline details a single page visit with the following information:

Identifier & Timestamp: The Device ID to link the view to a specific user session and the precise Connection Time of the visit.

Navigation Path: The Referring Page (where the visitor came from) and the Current Page they landed on, clearly mapping their path through your site.

Performance Metric: The Page Load Time in seconds, showing how quickly the page loaded for the visitor's browser.

Application in Behavior Analysis

This detailed log is crucial for understanding user engagement and identifying automated threats. It helps you to:

Trace User Journeys: Visualize the exact navigation path a visitor takes from their entry point to where they exit.

Assess Engagement: Determine the level of interest by analyzing the sequence of pages viewed and the flow of their navigation.

Detect Bot Patterns: Identify suspicious behavior, such as inhumanly fast page loads, viewing an excessive number of pages in seconds, or navigating in illogical sequences that no real user would follow.
