Manual vs. Automatic IP Blocking: What's the Difference?

Blocking fraudulent IP addresses is a core function of ClickSambo's defense system.

We offer two levels of control over this process, and the method you use depends on your chosen subscription plan. Understanding the difference is key to choosing the plan that best fits your needs.

Manual IP Blocking & Unblocking (Detection Plan)

This feature set is included in the Detection Plan.

With Manual Blocking, the ClickSambo dashboard serves as your intelligence and command center.

How it works: Our system analyzes your ad traffic and flags suspicious IP addresses in your dashboard based on their behavior or known fraud characteristics.

Your Role: You have complete, hands-on control. You can review these flagged IPs and decide which ones to block. You also have the ability to manually unblock any IP address at any time from your blocklist if you wish to allow it access again.

Best for: Users who want full manual control and prefer to personally review all flagged IPs before taking action.

Automatic Blocking + Full Manual Control (Protection Plan)

This complete feature set is included in the Protection Plan.

The Protection Plan gives you our powerful, "set and forget" defense mechanism in addition to all the manual controls found in the Detection Plan.

How it works: This plan includes everything from the Detection Plan, giving you the power to manually block and unblock any IP address you choose. On top of this, you get our automated defense system. When our system detects a fraudulent IP with a high degree of certainty, it instantly and automatically adds that IP to your connected Google Ads account's IP exclusion list.

Your Role: Your role becomes one of oversight. You can let the system work for you 24/7 while still having the final say to manually override its decisions. You can manually unblock an IP the system blocked, or manually block an IP the system has not yet flagged.

Best for: Users who want the most powerful and efficient protection possible, combining hands-off automation with the flexibility of full manual control.
