How to Add and Configure a New Domain

ClickSambo allows you to protect multiple websites under a single account. To start protecting a new website, you first need to add its domain name to your ClickSambo account. This process is initiated directly from the main header bar within the platform.

Here’s how to add a new domain:

Log In: Make sure you are logged into your ClickSambo account.

Locate the "+ Add Domain" Button: Look at the main header bar at the top of the ClickSambo interface. You will see an orange button labeled "+ Add Domain", typically positioned near the Account menu

Click the Button: Click the "+ Add Domain" button.

Follow On-Screen Prompts: After clicking the button, a new screen or pop-up window will appear. Follow the instructions provided on the screen. You will likely need to:

Enter the full domain name you wish to add (e.g., yournewwebsite.com).

Potentially confirm plan details or specific settings if applicable.

Confirm Addition: Once you have completed the required steps, click the final confirmation button (e.g., "Add Domain", "Save", "Confirm").

1. Launch the Setup Flow

Log into your ClickSambo dashboard and click the orange + Add Domain button, located in the main header bar at the top of the page. This will start the guided setup process for your new site.

2. Enter Your Domain Name

The first screen will prompt you to enter the full domain name you wish to add (e.g., your-new-brand.com).

3. Activate a Plan for the New Domain

To activate the 7-day free trial for this new domain, please select your desired subscription plan. You will need to make three choices on this screen:

Choose Your Plan: Select either Detection or Protection.

Select a Traffic Limit: Choose the tier that best matches your expected website traffic.

Select a Billing Cycle: Choose either Monthly or Annually.

Once you have configured your plan, click Confirm to start your trial immediately. You will not be charged until after the 7-day trial period is complete.

4. Payment Information

This guide explains the process of adding your payment information to start your 7-day free trial with ClickSambo.

Why is a Payment Method Required for a Free Trial?

We ask for your payment details upfront for a few key reasons, even though the trial is completely free. This is a standard practice that helps us:

Activate Your Trial: A valid payment method is needed to start the trial and validate your account.

Ensure Uninterrupted Service: If you love the service and decide to continue, your plan will transition seamlessly without any disruption after the trial ends.

Prevent Fraud: It helps us prevent misuse of our free trial system.

The Free Trial Promise: What to Expect

Our goal is to be completely transparent. When you sign up for a free trial, here is our promise to you:

You Will Not Be Charged Today. Your 7-day trial is 100% free of charge.

Full Access: You get complete access to all the features of your chosen plan for the full 7 days.

First Charge After Trial: Your payment method will only be charged if you choose to continue your subscription after the 7-day trial period concludes.

Cancel Anytime: You are in complete control. If you decide ClickSambo isn't for you, you can easily cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged.

How to Add Your Payment Method

The process is simple and secure.

Configure Your Plan: On the setup screen, select your desired plan (e.g., Detection or Protection), choose a traffic limit, and pick a billing cycle (Monthly or Annually). Click Confirm.

Choose Your Payment Method: On the next screen, you will be prompted to add your payment details. You have two options:

a) Select an Existing Card: If you have a card on file from a previous subscription, you can simply select it.

b) Add a New Card: Fill in the secure form to add a new credit card.

Start Your Trial: Once you have confirmed your payment method, click the final confirmation button to start your 7-day trial immediately.

5. Set Business Details

Next, you will select the appropriate business Sector and Timezone for the new domain. This helps us tailor its fraud detection settings from day one and will arrange the reporting timezone

6. Your ClickSambo Tracking Codes

To activate ClickSambo's protection and analytics on your website, you need to install two tracking codes. For the most complete coverage and highest accuracy, we strongly recommend installing both codes.

This page provides your unique codes and a summary of their purpose.

a. Primary JavaScript Code (<head>)

This is your main tracking script and is essential for enabling our real-time fraud detection, bot blocking, and detailed analytics. It should be placed at the top of your website's <head> section.

b. Fallback noscript Code (<body>)

This code acts as a safety net, allowing us to track visitors who have JavaScript disabled. It provides basic tracking to ensure no visitor is missed and should be placed at the top of your website's <body> section.

7. Connecting Your Ad Accounts: Google Ads

Connecting your Google Ads account is a crucial step that ensures ClickSambo can accurately track your campaigns and protect your ad spend. This allows for the seamless installation of our tracking template, which is essential for detailed analysis.

We offer two methods to set up your Google Ads tracking. We strongly recommend the Automated Connection for its simplicity and accuracy.

Method 1: Automated Connection (Recommended)

This is the fastest, easiest, and most reliable way to configure your tracking. It creates a secure link to automate the initial setup and allows for easy re-synchronization in the future.

Part A: Initial One-Time Connection

Whether you are signing up for a new account or are in your Account Settings > Connections tab, you begin by clicking the Connect to Google Ads button.

You will be guided through a secure Google authorization process. The moment you grant permission, ClickSambo automatically performs the initial setup for you:

  • Sets Your Tracking Template: We instantly push your unique ClickSambo tracking code into the "Tracking template" field in your Google Ads settings.
  • Enables Auto-Tagging: We automatically turn on the auto-tagging feature, which is essential for accurate fraud analysis.

Part B: Ongoing Updates with the 'Update Tracking' Button

After the initial connection is complete, the Connect button in your Connections menu will be replaced with an Update Tracking Template button.

This button allows you to manually trigger a re-sync at any time. When you click it, ClickSambo will again automatically push the latest version of your tracking template into your Google Ads account.

You should use this Update Tracking Template button if:

You want to verify your settings are correct.

You suspect the template in Google Ads was accidentally changed or deleted.

ClickSambo announces an update or improvement to the tracking template.

Method 2: Manual Tracking Template Setup

This method is for users who prefer not to link their Google Ads account or need to add our code to a pre-existing tracking template.

Step-by-Step Guide

In ClickSambo: Navigate to your Domain Tracking Setup page and copy the code under "Clicksambo's Google Ads Tracking Template".

In Google Ads: Log in and go to All campaigns > Settings > Account Settings > Tracking.

Paste the Template: Paste the ClickSambo code into the "Tracking template" field.⚠️ CRITICAL: If you already have a code in this field, DO NOT REPLACE IT. You must append the ClickSambo template to your existing one. Please contact our support for assistance.

Enable Auto-Tagging: Manually verify that Auto-tagging is enabled in your Account Settings.

Save your changes in Google Ads.

You are on the dashboard!

The set up has been completed. As soon as you put the codes to your website, ClickSambo's detection and protection features will start in minutes
